Mission Statement

The North American Foundation for the University of Durham, Inc. is a publicly supported tax-exempt charitable organization founded by North American alumni and friends of the University of Durham, England.  These volunteers contribute their time and resources toward raising North American public awareness of the scholarly and inter-cultural activities of the University. In addition, the Foundation serves to facilitate communication among North American alumni and between them and the University. By awarding scholarships to North American students for study at the University, and through voluntary support of the University’s academic programs and colleges, the Foundation aims to preserve and enhance international awareness of the University of Durham educational experience.
